1916 BBW Replay Week 11 Summary - June 19-June 25, 1916
Week Eleven of the 1916 BBW Replay is in the books, and another fun and exciting week it was. Boston and Brooklyn remain atop their respective league standings, but this week, there was plenty of churn in the standings down below them. The Red Sox were the first team to reach forty wins, and there is one team in each league that has reached the sixty-game played mark, although most teams are sitting in the high fifties for games played. This coming week shows a full schedule, including plenty of doubleheaders, so we should be able to get much closer to getting all teams closer to the halfway point of their games played.
In the AL, the Red Sox continue to be a machine. Their offense consistently performs well - they are fourth in the AL for runs scored in a tight race - and they lead in both hitting and pitching. They play like champions and have been able to hold off any challenges to their position atop the AL. Detroit, Washington, and New York have made runs up the standings, only to run out of gas before they could finish the job. To date, they seem to be content to swap positions amongst each other as they wait to make another charge.

The season may be behind in games played for this point in the schedule, but next week will be a busy one. We are approaching the halfway point of the season, so that can only mean one thing - let's go play!
